Garden and greenhouse events in Washington state

Garden and greenhouse enthusiasts in Washington state have been told of a number of local horticulture events taking place over the next few days.

According to the Seattle Times, plant sales can be a great way of finding the specimens you are after, while supporting local businesses at the same time.

It noted that the King County Master Gardener Foundation is holding its Plant Sale and Learning Fair this weekend (May 1st) at the University of Washington‘s Centre for Urban Horticulture.

Meanwhile, those looking for something more oriental could head to the Kubota Garden Spring Plant Sale, also taking place on Saturday, which will offer Japanese maples and Asian garden varieties.

Another event taking place is the Seattle Tilth Edible Plant Sale, which is running at the Good Shepherd Centre on Saturday and Sunday.

It will enable garden enthusiasts to get involved in one of the most popular aspects of horticulture in recent times – growing your own food.

The Department of Agriculture recently said that Americans can transform a $100 investment into $1,000 worth of vegetables.ADNFCR-1495-ID-19754458-ADNFCR
